Super cool and stylish vegan & gluten-free place in a hipster industrial area called 'Alserkal Avenue' where they also have art galleries, open working space, HAPI Urban Yoga studio, other parqour sport places etc.

Best restaurant to serve local Lebanese/Middle East cuisine with an outdoor terrace with the best panoramic view on the Dubai Fountain Show - which runs every 20-30 mins with one song. This place is located in "Souq Al Bahar" next to Dubai Mall. It is best for dinner and always a highlight - I take all my guests there. Luckily it's also very reasonably priced despite its phenomenal location. This place is very busy so make sure to call ideally a few days in advance to make a reservation for a "table outside on the terrace - ideally first row or second". Do not accept a table inside as it's not worth it.

Super casual and quite fun beach bar with open air pub, sometimes a live band, separate beach dancing area also often with live DJ and a nice view on Dubai Marina's skyline at night. This place is open air - unless it's the hot summer season when they have a tent. This place is very popular especially among British folks, Emirates crew members and people on a budget. If you feel like a super casual summer night out in sneakers and shorts, have a drink, maybe watch some live sports and enjoy a dance on the beach at night with nice views - this casual beach bar might be fun for you. :-)

It used to be Dubai’s very first outdoor rooftop nightlife experience and is a modern outdoor rooftop space that is the ultimate go-to party destination with light shows, energetic dance floor and bumping music while dancing under the stars and views on Dubai's skyline. Dresscode is very chic and heels are mandatory for women.

Shopping
Traditional gold souq with lots of jewellery, gold, diamond, fresh herbs, fabrics etc. in the old and original Dubai Deira where Dubai back then started. There is also the old Deira harbour with lots of traditional wooden trading ships. One of my favourite things to do there is to go there in the late afternoon, walk inside the Souq towards the river and take one of those old wooden water taxis over the river during the sunset.
