Capt. Billy Whizzbang's is a Waco icon! They have absolutely delicious burgers and great fries (make sure you ask them to "Whizzbang" your fries!), as well as very good strawberry cream pies (the little individual ones!). A casual, diner atmosphere. The day that I closed on my house, my realtor recommended this place (because it's near my house), touting that they have the best burgers in Waco. I agree! It's a personal fav of mine (and my family when they come visit).

Pinewood Roasters is a local coffee-snob favorite. They have high quality coffee, espresso, and teas, as well as some baked goods (including Nightlife Donuts mmm), and you can often find some favorite Waco food trucks parked next to it. The baristas are great and totally non-coffee-snob friendly!

Like everything the Magnolia team does, their restaurant is so well done. You will probably have a wait, but even the wait there is pleasant! The food is absolutely delicious and the decor and atmosphere are impeccable. Service is typical Magnolia quality-- outstanding.

Originally started as a foodtruck, known for their amazing biscuits and baked goods. They now have a very cool restaurant with a great covered patio. The owners are friends with Chip & Jo, and they have a fantastic chef. Great drinks as well, so check out their happy hour specialties.

Originally an Austin taco joint. LOVE this place. Unique variety of tacos, super good guacamole, good drink specials. Overall, just very cool. When my best friends came to visit me from Michigan, we ate here three times during their 6 day visit!
