Built in 1929, The Civic was an outstanding example of the ‘atmospheric cinema’ with a unique soft-top design that floats above the auditorium, allowing the famed stars and clouds effect that is a recreation of the Southern Hemisphere sky-scape. The Civic is only open for big theatre performances.
