Parks & Nature

This is my go-to for a nearby hike or trail run. Lots of options, and easy to get a little bit of elevation to then get a great view of Fort Collins. It's adjacent to Horsetooth Mountain Park (County Park) and can be less crowded.

A drive up the Poudre Canyon ("Poudre" means "powder" in French. The river gets its name from French fur trappers) is well worth it. Tons of hiking, walking, picnicking and on-the-river options!
