Parks & Nature
Tower Hill is just a short drive along the highway, heading west of town. You can spend the day exploring the dormant volcano site, or simply drive in and around the park. But with picnic tables and bbq, toilets and ample parking, I recommend a good couple of hours, at least, to enjoy the reserve. There's an Information Centre where the attendants will gladly answer your queries.

An easy 2 minute drive from home base, situated in the Woolies complex on Raglan Parade/ Henna St. In my mind, the best takeaway coffee in town. (Unfortunately not open on Sundays)

Breakwater Rock Pier
61 Viaduct RdIt’s possible to walk from Thunder Point up down and around to the breakwater. There are well worn tracks, and fenced off nature areas. Definitely bring the camera for this one. I believe it’s possible to snorkel, but better access might be found by starting at the breakwater.
