Obviously, we had to take a number of venues off our list as establishments closed their doors, some temporarily, some for ever.
Still open in some capacity... Showtime Bar is not for everybody. It's an odd, curious, unassuming, loud neighborhood cash-only watering hole with a free jukebox. The best part was the live blues, funk and soul music performed on Sunday nights by Granny & The Boys.

The best music venue in town on a Friday night for jazz aficionados, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No alcohol here. Admission is only five USD and one can get some of the most delectable fried catfish and greens in the basement cafeteria.
