This was by far the most unusual dining experience I have had. Dining in total darkness, being served by an amazing guide Gabriel who is himself blind was really great. There is a printed menu to ou review before you descend into total darkness. Your waiter will also review the choices, first, second and dessert courses. Each course will also include a "surprise dish" chosen by the chef. I chose the surprise as I wanted to determine if I could figure out what I was eating. I feel this added to the experience. Every dish was tasty, basic and cooked to perfection. Not a foodie experience but if you are ready and willing to let go and just be in the moment and let yourself feel, this is not to

Entertainment & Activities
Two blocks from the house wait for a bus that goes to either Tena or Baeza, they will drive through Papallacta and drop you off. It will drop you off on the highway and the town is just up the hill. Its like a steep 3 mile walk to the hot springs but there are truck taxis waiting at the bus stop and costs $1/person to the hot springs. The bus to Papallacta is pretty cheap, like $2.50
