Garland is a local restaurant with a James Beard nominated chef, and their Indian-Asian fusion menu is always changing and always delicious. Try the Cauliflower 65 to start, and Bo Ssam for your entree. They also make a mean cocktail. Friendly to dietary restrictions, or none at all - this is my go-to for date night!

Brewery Bhavana is not only a brewery with incredible and unique creations, it is a restaurant, book store, and flower shop located right across from Moore Square in the heart of downtown. I love this place.

Lucky Tree is 40% coffee shop/bakery and 60% art gallery/gift shop. It is walking distance from the house, and I have done all of my christmas and birthday present shopping here for the past 2 years in a row. It is also great for working on your laptop or having a meeting. They usually have live music on First Friday, which is also super fun. We feel super lucky to have Lucky Tree so close!

Located in the heart of downtown, the Museum of Natural Sciences is great for a touristy day on the town! This is also right by Marbles Museum for kids - I highly recommend it for families!
