I love to cook, play music, light a fire, and enjoy a cozy night in. The best place in Gualala for grocers is Surf Market. They have great organic meat and produce. Also a good selection of wines and cheese. There are grab and go items available for a picnic lunch on the beach. Friday nights they have fresh Ahi Tuna and on the weekends there is a great outdoor BBQ with tri tip, chicken, and ribs.

One wouldn't dream of a super market with an eclectic and refined variety of gourmet food and condiments to be located in a town like Gualala, but that is precisely what Surf is. You will be impressed by their variety of cheeses, cured meats and local wine. The Deli at the very far corner of the store also serves some delicious sandwiches and prepared food that one would expect to find in a Whole Foods.

This is a great place to stock up for your feasts while staying at Sea Ranch. They have lots of fresh bread and pastries every morning, and many other local options throughout the store, as well as an excellent selection of vegan options. The locals will tell you that you will have nothing but very pleasant experiences with the quality of the products and the staff. Be sure to check out the very high quality barbecue made by the owner himself during the summer months. And if you are looking for fresh caught salmon, often you'll find it right off the boat here. In addition to making their own sauces and dressings, they have a good selection of organic products as well as organic produce. Perhaps you are looking for a good tri-tip sandwich? This is the place! Good crusty roll, perfectly cooked tri-tip that isn't drowning in sauce. In fact, the sauce (a mix of BBQ, SoyVey Teriaki, grilled onions and Sweet Sweet Love) is just a small part of the taste explosion. At $8, it is totally worth it.
