The Atma villa in Zakopane houses the only biographical museum in the world of Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937). The greatest Polish composer after Frederic Chopin, he was happy to stay in Zakopane from an early age, and at the end of his life settled here permanently, living in a villa at Kasprusie.
