Experience an old world tavern. Excellent menu. Though I've never tried, I hear the Chef's Tasting Menu ($50pp) is GREAT.

Located in Downtown Detroit, Republic Tavern delivers a modern take on an old world tavern experience with an emphasis on nose-to-tail eating. In 2015 Republic Tavern was awarded with Best New Restaurant by Eater Magazine. Working closely with local farmers allows menu to ebb and flow with Michigan’s seasons. By partnering with local Michigan suppliers they identify the best ingredients available and use those ingredients as an inspiration for their constantly evolving menu. Drinks are taken with equal care featuring natural wines, craft beers, and premium whiskey options.
