Karlaplan is an open park-plaza area in Östermalm in Stockholm. The architect Lindhagen was created the characteristic form of the plaza, during the 1890s. It was created in the image of Place de l'Étoile in Paris.
The train station is located just outside of the building (4 minutes to the central station), there are also a lot of taxis that you can stop on the street.
A beautiful location next to both the metro station and several restaurants and shopping locations.
“Cozy, trendy and fresh, this french/mediterranean restaurant is perfect both for couples and groups of friends. Prices are normal for the area but are worth it.”
Grocery or Supermarket
“A large, closeby grocery store with basically everything you may need when it comes to food and basic goods.”
“This is by far my favourite resturant in Stockholm and it's good for any occasion. Italian styled with a twist. You have both a regular resturant and a smaller side entrence so you can usually get a table but check the webpage for bookings to be sure. I usually go for the Carpaccio, followed by the Maccheroni Tartufo (think mac'n'cheese with truffle) and end with sharing the deep fried oreos and ice cream with my friends. But anything of the menu is golden!”
“Big open park. A riding school is located here, so you can go horseback riding if you want.”
