Nasher Sculpture Center
Open since October 2003, the Nasher Sculpture Center is dedicated to the display and study of modern and contemporary sculpture. The Center was the longtime dream of the late Raymond & Patsy Nasher, who together formed one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculpture in the world.
Open since 2003 and located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center is home to one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculptures in the world, featuring more than 300 masterpieces by Calder, de Kooning, di Suvero, Giacometti, Hepworth, Kelly, Matisse,…
Sitting across the street from the Dallas Museum of Art in the lively Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Garden repeatedly wows locals and visitors with its striking indoor and outdoor galleries.
The Nasher Sculpture Center is one of my favorite things to do in the Arts District! They have the best location - directly across from Klyde Warren Park. Its so nice to wander through admire the sculptures and then continue n to the park on a gorgeous spring or fall day.
Beautiful garden, architecturally interesting and a shining star in the art world. Enjoy your time here. Roll around in the chairs parked outside the front door. Pretty decent little cafe too.
“We came for the Dior exhibition. I bought tickets online because they were timed. Upon arrival we paid $15 to park in garage. Neat experience overall. Everyone was nice and pointed us in the right direction. As you walk in there's a cafe and store. I like the entrance design as they have some seating to wait and it's a drive up to pickup or drop off.”
“This place offers yoga classes, meditation, and unique art workshops/classes. It's got a secluded patio surrounded by bamboo and some of the most interesting asian art pieces I've seen. I am inspired every time I visit this intriguing space.”
“neat Downtown Dallas area built over a Highway a Park in the middle of the City near great attractions like the Dallas Museum of Art, Perot Museum of Natural History, the Crescent Hotel, Cedar Springs an eclectic area with Entertainment, and older homes that have been Referbuished really great area with good Food outside Entertainment and Sight Seeing. Turtle Creek is not too far from here which is a beautiful walking area. It is about 30 min away from my residence. I can drive you there for a fee a little less than Uber.”
“Pack a picnic lunch and a blanket and enjoy your meal al fresco surrounded by the most beautiful flowers in the city!”
“This museum is very unique. A lot of information to take in. Interactive displays throughout. Need some time to see all exhibits. Definitely worth the trip to see everything. Also had live fossil scraping.”
