A bar dedicated to all kinds of craft beer. Located in a small cellar in the old central point of the city. The bar is decorated with drawings by shock artist Hugleikur Dagsson. Don't worry, it's mostly the words that accompany his stick-figure comics that offend. But they are often very good…
In the pavement, just outside, is a small metal work of art in one of the tiles. That is the hub of Reykjavik. Everywhere in the city, the numbering of houses begins in the end that is geographically closer to this spot.
The bar is in a basement and in its interrior it is very ordinary but they have the best selection of craft beer. Try the First Lady ore Good enough for me by Lady Brewery, if they have it on tap!
“Delicious Indian restaurant serves up food in a tiffin via a dumbwaiter. Get the #3 combo with extra garlic naan.”
“A touristy book store, where you can find books on Iceland and translated Icelandic literature. You get decent coffee there and you are allowed to borrow magazines while you gobble your drinks down. Don't buy wool goods there, rip-off.”
“Specialty bar near Micro Bar and similar to it: less beer, more atmosphere. Entrance is in the alley behind Aðalstræti 9.”
“If you need only a few groceries at the store, 'Krambúðin' is the nearest. Open late to c.a. 23:00.”
“Hlemmur,a central bus station,a food court, and first stop on the way to Laugavegur. Laugavegur is a shopping street with all kinds of shopping, restaurants, museums and bars.”
