Elevated comfort food with great sunset views. This local spot run by old friends offers hearty classics with a southern flare. We love the mussels and the fried chicken. Reservations recommended. Lunch and late night coming soon.

Don’t be “thrown off” by the name, location, or ambience of the restaurant. It has now become one of our favorites. Their chicken and dumplings are amazing! Their Cesar salad is excellent as are their short ribs and pork chop with fried egg. Don’t miss eating here! It’s located at 626 South Tremont Street in Oceanside. Simply take the Coast Highway and go South to Minnesota Avenue and turn right/West to the first street (Tremont) and turn right (North) and the restaurant is on the right (East) side of the street. It’s open only for happy hour and dinner.
