“The Detroit Yacht Club, founded in 1868, is the largest and one of the oldest most prestigious private Clubs in North America.”
“Right by the CVS on Grand/Woodward you can catch the Q-Line above ground rail system that will take you through Mid-Town and all way down to water front in Downtown. This is a great easy way to get around. Comes every 10 min.”
“Southwest Detroit is where all of the Mexican restaurants are. But Armando's is my favorite because they have this thing called the Mexican sandwich. I love it. I get the ground beef one. There are all these layers: rice, beans, ground beef. You can get melted cheese on top, and I order mine with onions and roasted jalapenos for a little crunch. They're open super late. On the weekends, they close at 4:00 in the morning, so the after-club crowd can go and fill their stomachs with grease and everything else—cheese, sour cream, chips, and all that good stuff.”
“The closest place to walk and buy your pregame booze. They even have a fairly good collection of craft beer and wine.”
