Opened in 1995 and featured on "Diners Drive-ins and Dives" Jax is a old 1948 diner from Philly that was moved across country and remodeled into a classic diner on the Truckee river. Sit at the counter or grab a booth and listen to the train rumble by as you sip your coffee.

The BEST breakfast spot! Amazing lunch options and super yummy milkshakes too! Right next to the railroad tracks in Truckee-dine inside the old train car or outside on their patio!

Jax Diner is right in downtown Truckee and open from 7am-10pm every day. They have insane milkshakes, burgers, steaks and more. Their breakfasts are so good. Pretty much everything on their menu is good. We eat here a lot!
