“New Joe’s” became the first restaurant in San Francisco to do exhibition cooking where food was prepared in full view of the customers. The partners at “New Joe’s” had a falling out, Louis J. Rocca insisted he was “The Original” so he called the new restaurant “Original Joe’s.” Descended from the first Original Joe’s founded in 1937, the San Jose location was established in 1956 by the Rocca Family. Original Joe's restaurant in San Jose, California has been the cornerstone of an ever-changing Silicon Valley.

Not to be missed. Best longstanding restaurant in San Jose for the hearty eater - dining alone or in large groups.

Serves food until Midnight. It has been around forever. Old fashioned Italian food. The waiter in a tuxedo.. more spaghetti than you can eat. (Not fine dining however, but nastalgic!)
