For loukoumadhes (doughnut-like concoctions drizzled with honey and cinnamon), follow your nose to Gaias Gefseis. This bakery creates some of the city’s best traditional cakes and biscuits, as well as homemade sheep’s-milk gelato. If your sweet tooth needs a break, there’s a mammoth supply of savoury breads; try one stuffed with feta and olives.
