This gastro style pub is a great place for food within the cosy restaurant or a quick coffee at their recently opened café. The Sun Inn sits in view of Newbattle Viaduct, a grand piece of historic engineering that carries the Borders Railway line over the River South Esk in Newtongrange. The viaduct was re-opened in 2015 following the railway line being reinstated.

Beautiful restaurant and cafe. Formal or casual. Ice cream bar too! Great location on the River Esk with a nice sun terrace for warm days.
