Vogrie country park is 3 miles away and has over 11 miles of signed countryside paths through woodlands and the Tyne Valley. There is a cafe, bbq areas and a golf course as well as other facilities and features too.

There are 11.5 miles of signed countryside paths through woodlands and the Tyne Valley at this beautiful park. Information is shown on panels in the park and on a map which is available either from the park ranger or downloadable from the Midlothian Council website. The park is also home to the Tree Top Café, an eighteen hole Footgolf course and a large adventure play park with picnic areas and open lawns.
