So many recommendations on this one, and it’s just a quick jaunt from the Sunday Abode! First and foremost- It’s a place to park….yourself! Grab a picnic and have lunch at the picnic tables while the kids burn off energy at the playground! Head into town the first weekend of October for Octoberfest, arguably one of Fredericksburg’s most fun and notable annual events! Lighting of the Christmas Tree and carols occurs the first weekend of December!

Wonderful park like setting with huge covered areas for your picnics or just taking a break, lush landscaping & many historical points of interest. A MUST SEE at Christmas holidays!!!

Located off of Main Street, there are three large pavilions, large playground, open spaces with benches, restrooms ,historic markers, gardens, and ICE SKATING rink in the WInter. Great place to reward the kids for enduring the endless hours of shopping! Within walking distance.

The center of our village! Old school German Marktplatz. A very pleasant setting for a walk around. Great playground for the kids!
