It's a very nice museum that was built by the Baron Revoltella, a very generous patron of the city's cultural life. There is the formerly private palace with all the representative rooms to see and also the modern part with an art collection. In summer there is also a rooftop terrace café with…

The Revoltella Museum is an important modern art gallery that originated from an institution founded in 1872 by Baron Pasquale Revoltella (1795 – 1869). Revoltella bequeathed his palace and his art collection to the city of Trieste; but in addition to the building and the objects contained within…

Buffet
“Opened before WWII, the family-run Siora Rosa is one Trieste's best-loved traditional buffets (bar-restaurants). Sit outside or in the wonderfully retro interior and tuck into boiled pork, sauerkraut and other Germanic and Hungarian offerings, or opt for something fishy like baccalà (salted cod) with polenta.”

城堡
“The magnificent castle of Emperor Maximilan is one of the major sights. It used to be an Imperial residence until the end of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and the furniture is still original. The park surrounding the castle used to be one of the most magnificent parks, it is not in the best conditions, now, but still nice for a stroll around and the entrance to the park is free. The view from the castle and also the park is really great. In summer you can go there even by boat and the view from the sea is one of my personal highlights.”

咖啡館
“One of the most prestigious historical cafés. The Viennese style grand café is an ideal place to hang out and have some coffee and cake - or even an aperitivo in a very classy but still relaxed atmosphere. Can be combined with a visit to the impressive Synagogue (the second largest in Europe) that is just around the corner. ”

“San Giusto Castle stands on a hill of the same name that overlooks the city. The history of this hill is as long as that of the city itself. It is here that the first fortified settlement was built, the predecessor of Roman Tergeste. In 1382 Trieste, worn out by the constant Venetian reprisals, signed the act of Spontaneous Surrender to Austria, under which the city maintained its independence but was protected by an Imperial Captain, and so it was that in 1468 Frederick III ordered the building, at the citizens' expense, of a Fortress flanked by a tower at the top of the San Giusto hill. ”

咖啡廳
“This veritable hall of mirrors (specchi) first opened its doors back in 1839 and has more recently been taken over by the chocolatiering Faggiotto from Pordenone (although the matriarch is a local; in fact, she was Miss Trieste 1982). This is the ultimate Piazza Unità front-row seat, whatever the weather, and the coffee has returned to its once former glory.”
