The view of Katahdin from Abol is pretty spectacular. The bridge crossing the Penobscot has a walking bridge that serves as a snowmobile crossing in the winter and a popular tourist spot in the summer. It is a great place to stop, check out the store and snap some photos of Katahdin. If you come at the right time, you may also spot some white water rafters heading down the river.

Right before bridge is turn off to right that will take you to Nature Conservancy ICE caves....
