Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium
Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium in New Orleans has interactive exhibits for insects & more.
I like to spend a few hours with the kids at the Insectarium then wlak over to the French Quarter.
If you like insects this is the place for you. You can view3 them up close and even taste a cooked bug from the chefs at the insectarium. The butterfly garden has ponds with fish and benches where you can sit and relax. It is a very peaceful spot.
If you have a few days and a family, purchase the family membership and visit the Aquarium, Zoo, Insectarium, and IMAX Theatre at a fraction of the price. Insectarium located at the end of the Canal Streetcar Line, edge of the French Quarter.
“The Aquarium has a wonderful selection of activites and wonders for children and adults alike. My son took part in the penguin experience and the snorkeling experience. Both were incredibly special and unusual! See their website for pricing and sign up availability you will want to do that in advance. ”
“This is easily one of the most incredible and thought provoking places to spend your day—especially if it’s a rainy one! You can enjoy the 4D movie Beyond All Boundaries and watch performers dance 1940s style! ”
“Walk, or bike around the beautiful park. Stop by and see the giraffes over the fence. Go to the zoo, if it’s open. ”
“This place is brilliant for kids!! Meet some of the local children and other visitors! Very enchanting for children. ”
