Guapulo Colonial Church and Convent
Often overlooked but stunning convent. Built in the 1500s it is perched on the side of a mountain and overlooks the valleys. It is on "Conquistador Road" - the first road carved out by Spanish armies.
Quito's oldest church. The square outside has a statue of Francisco de Orellana who set out from here on his travels to the Amazon
El hermoso barrio Colonial de Guápulo con la famosa iglesia-convento, la vista del valle de Cumbayá es bellísima
“a bit away, but a nice walk with nice view of the valley of Cumbaya. Go check it out!”
“This is a low-key, local restaurant / bar where you can grab pizza and a beer and enjoy the re-purposed bicycle decor of the place. Good place to meet someone after work for a drink and a bite. ”
“Exquisite food from Esmeraldas province (ecuadorian coast). The owner (Enrique) is an old friend. He and his wife make sure that every dish is cooked and served with care. Don't miss it!!”
