Mesa Falls is a short drive from the Cabin. At the upper Mesa Falls, a thunderous curtain of water, as tall as a 10 story building, pours over remnants of an ancient volcanic super-eruptions. A mile south, Lower Mesa Falls repeats the performance, the river continually chiseling away at the solidified ash and lava. The beautiful upper and lower Mesa Falls are the last prominent waterfalls on the Snake River unaffected by manmade influences. A scenic walking path leads to excellent viewpoints.

Within 30-45 minutes down the highway towards Ashton, ID, this is a beautiful location with awesome landmarks and gorgeous water falls.

A thunderous curtain of water, as tall as a 10 story building will greet your eyes. A must see. I have taken my kids and now grandkids there every yea we are up there. such an awesome sight. If you are there between 9 and 10am you should see a rainbow.

This beautiful 114 ft waterfall is worth the short drive from Idaho Falls.
