New York's flagship french brasserie, Balthazar suits for most anything. The room is somehow both intimate and grand with a definitively New York style crowd. Admiring chefs often comment about how the Balth's food fights above its weight class. Balthazar donates 100% of proceeds from this table to City Harvest.
Perhaps a bit overplayed, but still a local favorite and one of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch...and their holiday decor is always so nice.
Great French food in a restaurant with a Victorian vibe. High ceilings and ornate details. The food is good, but the restaurant is pricier.
In Soho, Manhattan. One of my favorite dinner place. Check the menu and prices before going.
Iconic French brasserie with steak frites, brunch & pastries in a classy space with red banquettes. A long time soho/nolita favorite, if the restaurant is too busy, try to get a seat at the bar (first come first serve) or grab something to go at the mini bakery right next to the restaurant.
“During the day this is a diner-like Taco spot, at night there is a beautiful bar underneath. Suggest going early and telling them you will only be getting a drink at the bar.”
“This is our favorite French Moroccan spot in the middle of Soho. A very cute date spot with delicious food. ”
“Located at the Mercer hotel, Mercer Kitchen brings a chic, sophisticated vibe to the heart of SoHo”
“Upscale department store for apparel, accessories & cosmetics. Most carry furniture & home goods.”
