Empúries is a town by the Costa Brava, as charming as most of the fishermen's towns in the area are. However, this town has a another valuable trait: it's an old greek archeological site, with many ruins, and a candidate area for World Heritage Site. It's 1 h 40 min away from Barcelona by car.
