This historic town has offered Horse Racing since August 3, 1863, when a gambler, casino owner, ex-boxing champion, and future congressman John Morrissey organized Saratoga's first thoroughbred meet a month after the Battle of Gettysburg. At the old dirt track on Union Ave., later known as Horse Haven, Morrissey staged a four day meet. Over 5,000 people came to watch and wager on the eight races. Don't forget to visit the springs and drink in some of the healing waters that made Saratoga a place of healing since time immemorial.

Saratoga is a very happening town. Lots of shops.. restaurants..bars..parks. Saratoga is known for its horse racing at Saratoga track during the months of July and August
