Roger Williams Park Zoo
We have a great zoo close by. And the park in general is great for relaxing, jogging, walking.
You can go for a picnic, a swan ride, pet barn animals, feed the elephants, rollerblade, play tennis, just walk.
If you like walking or visiting zoos it’s great mix There’s a carousel and park for kids.
A great location to take the kids, the zoo is always hosting special events to include the Jack-o-lantern spectacular, a must see in the fall.
Great zoo, and if you're visiting in the Fall, you have to check out the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
Super fun zoo for the kiddos. There is a water-splash area and lots of hands-on exhibits in the zoo, plus a large park outside the zoo. (Seasonal) It is about 57 minutes away, but worth the drive for a day-trip.
Don't miss the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo in October.

“Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design is an art museum in Providence affiliated with the Rhode Island School of Design. They have a beautiful collection downtown, worth a visit.”
“Where you can get your iPhone/Mac fix. Somewhat upscale stores, with an innovative design by architect Friedrich St. Florian, who also designed the WW2 Memorial on the National Mall in DC. ”
“If you want to celebrate, you cannot go wrong at Los Andes! This is the best restaurant in RI, and everybody knows it--so you should call for a reservation. Indoor and outdoor seating, fresh and innovative contemporary Peruvian/Bolivian inspired cuisine, excellent wine list, and live music sometimes too. You can also grab a seat at the bar to eat. ”
“This Providence landmark restaurant has an elegant atmosphere overlooking the Providence River in downtown Providence. Although more open and less intimate than some restaurants, I actually like that they have more room. They have fish from all over the world and an excellent raw bar. The fixed price menu was a great bargain too. ”
