Mt Karioi is a 2.4million year old extinct volcano. This stunning National Park trail ends on the mountain top offering panoramic views of the area. The track to the summit will take approximately 2 hours.

A great short hike to the top of our maunga Karioi showcasing spectacular views. This is a short drive (approximately 8-10 minutes) from where you will be staying. This does require an ok level of fitness. Take some snacks and water with you and enjoy the native bush.

There are two tramps up the mountain. Te Toto Gorge way takes 3 and a half hours and there is also a two hour track from behind the mountain. Great bush and the views on a sunny day are awesome

Incredible views gorgeous walk. Take a packed lunch and expect to be gone all day. Parts of the track are challenging even for the very fit. A good level of fitness is recommended.
