As part of the town centre, the High Street is cobbled and the cobble setts were remived, realigned and reset by a group of specialist workers a couple of years ago. Also in the High Street is our old clock (sitting above the Guildford House Gallery) which draws attention to some interesting architectural features.

Lingfield maybe a village but its has plenty of amenities with grocery stores, dry cleaners, hair salons, beauty treatments, cobblers (shoe repairs) bakery, post office and plenty of coffee shops
