For surfing novices who want to give it a go, we recommend lessons from Mario Surf School at Cerritos Beach. They will get you out on the water, show you the ropes, and help you catch the waves all the way to shore. In addition to lessons, Mario's offers rentals for all surf boards, boogie boards, and rash guards. They are located by the main building at Cerritos beach.

Best team of surf instructors in Playa Los Cerritos. They are all very experienced, professional and super fun! Ask for Odin and his brother Martin.

Mario's Surf school is located right on Cerritos Beach, only a 10 minute walk (3 minute drive) from Casa Nivana. Mario was the first surfing school on Cerritos Beach and is still considered by most to be the most reputable. Enjoy a surf lesson from a local or if you are already a pro, there are surfboards to rent as well ! Great for beginner surfers of all ages. Paddleboards can also be rented from the same location.
