This is a great little restaurant - mainly Italian cuisine - right on the Rideau Canal - beautiful view of the canal while dining.
One of the only restaurants right on the canal. Great terrace in summer and cozy interior in winter. Just a short 15 minute walk over the new footbridge.
The wood oven pizza is fabulous. This is one of the few restaurants located right on the canal at the fifth avenue entrance. Great after skating.
“A great place to unwind. Many recreational amenities including a large grass field, play structure and sand for children, swings and supervised kiddy pool, and a dock to the river for fishing or watching the sunset.”
“This has so much of what you want: fax, photocopy, milk, bus tickets, stamps, popsicles, and Peter behind the counter is always nice! ”
“I recommend this place for a delicious and filling breakfast! You can sit and enjoy, or take it with. As an added bonus, Wild Oat can hook you up with coffee, lattes, and teas, AND baked goods for an extra snack. ”
“Cozy pub with beer, wine and scotch selections. Menu includes everything from nachos and other 'snacks', to burgers, and fish or meat entrees. Also has a breakfast / brunch menu. Good place for watching sports and hanging out. Friendly local vibe. 12 min walk”
