Kate Sessions Park
Hang out, view of the bay and ocean, rest, throw a frisbee, have lunch, read a book.
Dog-friendly recreation area boasting sweeping hillside views, plus sports fields & a playground.
A little over 1 mile away from my beach bungalow. Named after noted local horticulturalist and “Mother of Balboa Park” Kate Sessions is a 79-acre park, which is perched high on a hill overlooking Mission Bay, the Pacific Ocean and downtown San Diego.
“Man, this has to be my favorite. It is RIDICULOUSLY good. They have everything you could ever want... from man candy bacon, to stuffed french toast. Ask about the latte of the day or get a mimosa flight with an antioxidant juice to pair. (Acai is my go-to). The potatoes are food-coma worthy. My Favorite: -The Tuscan Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon and avocado -Coconut Latte -Buttermilk pancakes ”
“Grassy and peaceful spot on a hilltop above the beach with benches. Also a great spot to start if you want to explore down the boardwalk along Ocean Blvd. ”
“Rated best seafood restaurant. Their house fish sauce is so bomb. Get it on anything, you'll love it. They have a house shrimp that is amazing.”
“There's 2 locations to choose from. Get ready to stand in line to "get buzzed"!”
“Cerveza Jack has BOMB food and drink deals every day and it's RIGHT at the corner near where I live/where you are. Moonshine Beach is connected to it and you can dance there but will say now, it's mostly country. Also, if you like to check people out, they have the most attractive bartenders/waiters/waitresses and they're ALL friendly so it's like DARN YOU, couldn't at least be a douche..”
