“The Merchant Company is one of those great little shops that you just know you are going to find the most unique gift for your family member or friend with that first step inside. But somehow, after poking around for way too long, through all the handmade articles by Portland designers, you come out with nothing for anyone you went in for. Instead, you've picked up some unique jewelry, postcards, and any number of vintage Portland items for who else? Yourself. Maybe you'll have more objectivity than I have, or maybe the word is self-control... good luck and have fun. It's a great little shop, Brooklyn comes to mind...”
