We have 3 Mast General Stores! The original is in Valle Crucis, you will find the cool, old post office, house and kitchen wares and shoes. The Annex to the original is also in Valle Crucis - this one has clothing, outdoor gear and a great candy barrel with old time favorites. The Mast Store on King Street downtown Boone is a mix of goods found at the 2 stores in Valle Crucis.

At The Original Mast General Store, the historical atmosphere is unforgettable, and so is the shopping. The Mast General Store was operated by members of the Mast Family into the early 1970s. It was added to The National Register of Historic Places in April 1973 where it is noted as one of the best remaining examples of an old country general store.
