A definite must if you are in the area. Lovely atmosphere. Great coffee and cakes. Good local knowledge. Great examples of local food and artistry (cards, small gifts etc ). Very friendly, local welcome and clearly a hub of community life. A great selection of cheese too. Fabulous locally produced ice cream! What a village gem.

Why not try one of our local village deli's and take a visit up to St Briavels. Located just 2.1 miles away it's a beautiful walk from the cottage for those who don't mind hills and the views from the Castle are stunning. Pies, sausage rolls & foggies from The Pie House, bacon and other meats from Cowshill Farm, and a host of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free alternatives. Fine cheeses, artisan breads, veg and meat, local gifts. Lots going on within this community including an award winning local produce market held on the first Saturday of every month at The Pavilion (10am-12.30pm) and a very picturesque village to have a walk around. The George is located right in the village centre if you get hungry and thirsty and The Courtyard Cafe is open 1.30pm-4.30pm on Tuesday and Thursdays which serves a good selection of homemade produce.
