The Elgin offers fresh specialist coffees, tasty homemade food and an extensive range of quality wines and beers.
Cool bar scene with decent eats, excellent beers and wines. All the staff have tattoos of course hehehe.
Hip, airy hostelry with exposed brick, subway tile and shabby chic decor, serving eclectic pub food.
The Elgin is the very model of a modern major local, with exposed brickwork, bare wooden floors, rotating ales and a cool, laid-back vibe. They also have half an elephant stuck on the wall. Not sure why, but there you go. It's part of the Urban Leisure Group, who can also count the not-dissimilar…
“The park is not very big but it is beautiful, clean and with some nice and tidy gardens. On sunny days it can get busy but not as busy as other parks like Hyde Park. They have many sports facilities for outdoors sports, a fitness suite and a cafe. I use the tennis facilities and I am very happy with the courts. The cost is really low and there is a good number of courts (around 13), both tarmac and synthetic. The courts have trees around them to provide some peace and quiet while you play.”
“Traditional british pub fare. Impressive decor with an open fire. Excellent 'Sunday Roast'.”
“Tiny Japanese outfit near Little Venice where lovely service helps offset the “cramped and uncomfortable” interior. There is better sushi in London, but the price, selection and relaxed style ensure this is a top pick.”
“It is an amazing yoga centre, custom build with underfloor heating and highly skilled teachers.”
“Want a taste of the swingin' 60's during your stay? Abbey Road Studios is a only few minutes away and is most notable as being the 1960s' venue for innovative recording techniques adopted by the Beatles (who recorded almost all of their albums and hits there between 1962 and 1970) as well as Pink Floyd, the Hollies, among others. Perfect day out for a tour with any Beatle loving friends or family!”
