Belmond El Encanto
Hollywood glamour in a modern classic. Perched high in the Santa Barbara hills, this iconic hideaway offers the best views of the American Riviera. Spread across seven acres of secluded gardens, Belmond El Encanto opened in 1918 and has been part of Santa Barbara’s social scene ever since...
Pricey, but gorgeous, historical spot and a great place to catch the sunset with a drink!
This is a hotel and fine dining restaurant but the food is overpriced and horrible. HOWEVER, it is one of the best views of Santa Barbara and they make great coctails. Go here for drinks before dinner.
Gourmet dining, with views overlooking Santa Barbara on the Riviera. Recommend a reservation around sunset.
It's on the pricy/fancy side but great for a relaxing brunch or to grab a cocktail with a gorgeous view.
The El Encanto has a stunning outdoor dining space overlooking Santa Barbara and the Harbor from high up on the Riviera. Go for dinner, or lunch (but request a shady spot), or best: go for drinks and watch the sun set.

“This is an excellent vegan restaurant. Even if you aren't vegan the food is so so good. We had almost one of everything and the service was super helpful.”
“Very popular hike. 4 miles all the way up to the ridge top. Or walk up to Inspiration Point ”
“$$$ - Our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara! Amazing food with a trendy vibe. Best if you have a reservation. ”
“Great trail to hike or run, you can make it short or you can go all the way to Gibraltor. Good views, water for dogs to play in.”
“The courthouse has a long history of fires, earthquakes and rebuilds. The architecture is so different, moorish elements and Spanish revival with some wacky design features thrown in. The 360 degree view at the top gives you the best overall view of Santa Barbara. Not to be missed! You can tour for free daily and there are one hour guided tours daily at 2 PM and 10:30 Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Santa Barbara.com. 1100 Anacapa St., SB ”
