LOUISIANA Museum of Modern Art is located 35 km north of Copenhagen with a panoramic view across the Øresund. The interaction between world class art, nature and architecture is unique, and Louisiana is often hailed as “probably the most beautiful museum in the world”.
Louisiana offers a big collection of modern art which is a worth a visit. Unfortunately the museum is 30 minutes away in car and over 1 hour away if you go with the train/bus. But if you manage to get there - you will get an experience that you will never forget!
Great place to experience art and the outdoor surroundings are spectacular as well. Link: www.louisiana.dk
Bring your swimwear and take a dip in Oeresund while you are there. And do not miss the restaurant. It is fairly cheap and the view is fantastic.
The Museum of modern art that most of the locals and people from all over the world have visited. It's a bit far away (1 hour) but you can take public transport all the way. If you are into modern art it's a really great place to visit!
Great museum, always worth a visit. Maybe go when they open up, it’s very well visited. It’s a daytrip. You can go by car or by train. You can enjoy your lunch there and be tempted in the shop as well
My favorite museum, outside the city. Go there by train and have a day-trip up north. There is a beautiful view and interesting exhibitions. Food can be expensive, so consider brunching your own and enjoy it with a view of the sea.
LOUISIANA MUSEUM OF MODERN ART is a leading international museum of modern art. Located on the coast it strikes that rarest of balances between landscape, architecture, and art in a unique interaction that attracts visitors from around the world and makes a visit to Louisiana something special…
Beautiful and wonderfully family-friendly art museum outside of Copenhagen. There is a dedicated 3-storey Children's Wing with daily workshops suitable for children ages 4-16, where they can paint, draw, and sculpt. See website for more info on times and prices for workshops.
the hard part is getting here. I recommend sharing a ride with GoMore. But the art here is awesome. They always have a number of interesting exhibitions.
“One hour drive or 90 min. by train you have Helsingør, great old Danish city with old castle and close to the Maritime museum design by BIG-group. ”
“a unique Renaissance castle in Scandinavia. Picturesquely located in the centre of the castle lake in Hillerød lies Frederiksborg Castle, the largest in Scandinavia. The castle also features a stunning baroque garden”
“Really nice museum - tells the story of famous Danish author Karen Blixen (maybe you have seen the film "Out of Africa"? Further, there is a lovely park surrounding the museum.”
“Restaurant Sletten is located in the heart of the old and idyllic Sletten Harbour in Humlebæk. Restaurant Sletten is the sister restaurant to the famous Michelin star restaurant Formel B in Copenhagen.”
