Newport Beach Pier
Great place to go for food, exploring & you can join boat charters to Catalina Island, whale watching (seasonal), etc.
This is a definite must-see in the area. Walk or take a bike ride along the pier.
Just an 8 mile drive south on the 55 freeway. Great waves, lots of action, great restaurants. On a nice summer day the traffic can get backed up!
“Friday night early bird Prime Rib dinner is inexpensive and delicious. They have good breakfasts, too. The people there are friendly. The theater is next door. ”
“Ready to get out for a stroll along the beach, some sight seeing, local food and drink...this is the spot!”
“Fashion Island, Orange County’s premier shopping center, features world-class shopping and restaurants. 401 Newport Center Dr. Newport Beach, CA.”
“Mutt's is a great beach bar/restaurant. It's actually my husband's favorite spot. Usually not super crowded at night, it's hopping during the day. The whole menu is great from the pizza (my husband's favorite), to salads, sandwiches and even breakfast. And they serve schooners of beer. You can't go wrong here.”
