On beach road across from our favorite breakfast place -“Sam and Omies” !
It's nice to walk on the pier when the sun is setting or rising - even if you are not fishing. It's the longest one on the OBX.
Is a fishing pier with interactive science exhibits for all ages. Longest running attraction in the Outer Banks.
A good day at the beach if you want to try out an access other than our own. Food is available nearby (See Connor’s Market, Sam & Omies or Dune Burger!) Fun to walk out to the end of the pier, especially in the evening.
“Also great for a rainy day, but beware of the crowds. When it rains, everyone seems to have the same idea. Early is best. If it looks too crazy, hit Jumpmasters instead.”
“Look for the windmill to find this local brewery. You will also find an electric car charger here.”
“Just over the bridge is an outlet mall that has a lot of chain stores that always seem to have sales going on.”
State / Provincial Park
“A fun, unique experience to see the visitor center and climb the highest sand dune on the east coast!”
“One of our locals favorites. You may even run in to one of the wicked tuna crew. They have the banging seafood hook up. If you like sea scallops make sure to order yourself scallop dinner. The best very casual atmosphere Loved by the locals”
