The dam was built in 1688 on Vauban’s plans. It was used during the siege of Strasbourg in 1870, causing flooding of the upstream neighborhoods.

Amazing view of the famous bridges in Strasbourg. Beautiful and picturesque, especially at night. Very easy to reach by public transport and lots of restaurants around as well. Highly recommended!

The rooftop offers a beautiful view of Strasbourg! Be careful, it's closed at 9pm and during the night.
