If you are travelling on a budget and don't mind paratrooper style grocery shopping, you can get the best deals on brand name supplies. The Dollar Store on Parliament is also another budget destination.

As the name suggests, it's pretty no frills! But very budget friendly and easily walkable, you'll find all the essentials here. Try some local specialty shops like the St. James Town Steak & Chops butcher up the street if you're looking for higher quality (and more expensive) ingredients.
