EXCELLENT music if you’re into blues/jazz. I mean, really excellent. They really pack you in, and there will likely be a wait, but it is so worth it. Usually a $10 of so cover.
Music club with Cajun cuisine & blues presented 7 nights per week in Mardi Gras–themed surroundings. Make reservations and reserve a seat on upstairs bar. Great bands play after 10 p.m. This club is in the historic Printers Alley of Broadway.
A historic Printer's Alley party place for live music and dancing. Always a lively act on stage.
Live music, blues and jazz. New Orleans inspired. Great place to lounge and enjoy talented musicians.
“Their fries and jalapeno poppers are seriously amazing. Also, very cheap and off the beaten path. ”
“Great sit down diner with a southern breakfast. Within walking distance. Try the breakfast hash!”
“Typical breakfast diner. Not the classiest joint, but open late, and it's cheap.”

“Grins Vegetarian Cafe is located on the Vanderbilt campus but welcomes anyone craving fresh vegetarian (and certified kosher) fare. Opened over a decade ago by Fido’s Bob Bernstein, the cafe serves breakfast items, paninis and wraps, soups, salads and specials like Indian veggie curry. Note that Grins closes for Jewish holidays and follows Vanderbilt’s schedule for holidays and seasonal breaks.”
