Parking area to access the Mill Mountain Trail which will lead you to Big Schloss Overlook and about a 1/2 mile trek along the ridge line. Beautiful views! Again, please download all trails prior to hiking in this area.

Great hikes! Big Schloss about 5 miles round trip to a great view! Also Little Schloss and Tibet Knob

Just 30 minutes away is Wolf Gap Recreation Area which was once the site of a 1930’s African American Civilian Conservation Corps Camp. This recreation area has many hiking opportunities nearby. From here begin your hike to the popular Big Schloss Overlook with scenic views of Virginia and West Virginia mountains.

Wolf Gap is just a few miles from the back door here in the country. You can enjoy the many miles of hiking trails to choose from when you arrive at the campgrounds, nestled in George Washington Nat. Park. Big Schloss is a local favorite as it traverse a spine of the Great North Mountain Range of the Ridge and Valley Appalachia.
