A warm welcome awaits you here, situated in the popular Shore area of Leith. With over 90 varieties of malt whisky 16 beers on tap and 20 wines and bubblies by the glass this is one place you’ll want to visit whilst in Edinburgh. Sit outside by the water in summer or get cosy by the fire in winter.
A perfect example of a contemporary British pub; family-friendly, with sports on TV, and a good range of reasonably priced food. They also have an excellent range of whiskies to try, and a seating area right on the water round the back for sunny afternoons.
It was the ferry terminal for the boats going to Aberdeen and now a great old pub with good ale, great pub grub (try the mac cheese or the chilli) and sports on the telly with a huge beer garden for sunny days
Always a great place for a drink and some food when the suns out. Get down asap as this place fills up quickly!
Brilliant bar in an only ferry terminal, with lots of outside seating for a pint in the sun.
“Cracking local pub with an eclectic mix of patrons and decor. The Sunday roast is a must as is the Bloody mary, made with Buckfast.”
“Beautiful bar with excellent food - highly recommend the burger and fish and chips. Very well known and loved bar in Leith”
“Royal residency and armory of King James I. The building would be restored by Queen Mary in her reign & later becomes a plague hospital. Granted to Bernhard Lindsay in 1613 by King James VI, bestowing upon him the right to reconstruct the building and keep four taverns on the site. Complete with ghostly presence in the basement this building has stood in the heart of Leith for almost 600 years.”
“Fabulous Provence themed restaurant that has won several Edinburgh awards and well worth a visit especially if you like French cuisine. ”
