Spitchwick is a local's favourite in the summer for wild swimming. However, it's also a beautiful spot for a riverside walk.

Beautiful picnic spot with large grassy areas, woodland, and deep water for river swimming. Swim at the top (upriver) where you can climb the cliff and jump off into the water, or try further downstream where the river flows quickly into a large pool making fun rapids to swim down. Be careful as there are no lifeguards.

Its a stunningly beautiful spot for picnics, hiking, river swimming and being in nature up on the moors.
